My job as a makeup artist is to meet my clients where they are comfortable while providing them with a look that highlights their unique features and gives them the confidence for all of those special days in their life.
I'm probably not what you expect when you think of a makeup artist.
You see, I love and appreciate a good glam moment but more often than not you'll find me rocking recycled day old hair and sporting the no makeup makeup look. 90% of my life is spent wearing comfy clothes. I live for the moment I can take my bra and pants off at the end of the day!

I started Hey Girl Beauty Co. to combine my love of art and happy people
but it's been a little bit of an adventure to get here
2008
graduated with a photo degree
Shot my first wedding and a few years later landed a job at a professional photo printing lab working customer service and eventually producing professional photo products.
2014
married my college sweetheart, adam
built our first home
welcomed our first fur baby, berkley
0/10 - would not recommend building a house and planning a wedding in the same year. But we survived!
2016
joined adam hommerding photography
I joined Adam part time in his photo studio, Adam Hommerding Photography, where we work together photographing high school seniors and families.
2019
added another fur child, zoey
attended multi-media makeup school

After years of working for someone else, I was excited to create a business of my own to combine my love for art and people doing professional makeup + hair!
